Fall Time

You can tell that it is Fall when the leaves are all on the ground and not on the trees!

This last weekend I was cleaning the house and noticed that there were a bunch of dried leaves on the floor. I cleaned then up and then Mike would walk in from outside and bring more in. So Sunday I decided that the only way to help fix the problem was to rake up the leave in the backyard where you have to walk to get into the house. This seemed like any easy task until I got into.

There were two problems. One I was going to use the rake on the back of the lawnmower, but there is a hole in the place where the leaves are stored. So that left me racking by hand which brings up the second problem. The area is very large and the leaves were still a little wet so that meant a lot of racking.

Take a look at all the work:

This is what the ground looked like when I started and part of what still needs to be done:

Here is some pictures of all the piles of leaves that were racked up and had to wheeled over to the burn pile:

WOW! That's a lot of work. Good job! Makes me glad our back yard is so small. Ha ha!

There are days that both Mike and I would agree.
